Guangdong has designated a total of 74 regional headquarters for multinational companies.

On December 26, the policy briefing and licensing ceremony for the regional headquarters of multinational companies in Guangdong Province was held in Guangzhou. It was reported that up to now, Guangdong has established more than 370,000 foreign-funded enterprises, with actual foreign investment exceeding 600 billion US dollars. From January to November this year, the province has established 31,000 new foreign-funded enterprises, an increase of 36.1% year-on-year, with actual foreign investment of 105.23 billion yuan, an increase of 9.2% year-on-year. Guangdong has always been the preferred destination for global corporate investment. Since the implementation of the new method for setting up regional headquarters of multinational companies in 2021, Guangdong has assessed a total of 74 regional headquarters for multinational companies from four batches.
