Yu Weining, chief statistician of the Industrial Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, interpreted the industrial enterprise profit data for January to November 2025, with a significant role played by the profit growth in the equipment manufacturing industry. From January to November, the profit of large-scale equipment manufacturing industry increased by 7.7% year-on-year, driving the overall profit growth of all large-scale industrial enterprises by 2.8 percentage points, making it the strongest sector in driving the growth of profits for large-scale industrial enterprises. Among the 8 major industries in the equipment manufacturing industry, 7 industries saw profit growth year-on-year, with double-digit growth in profits for industries such as railways, ships, aerospace, electronics, with growth rates of 27.8% and 15.0% respectively; the automotive industry saw a profit growth of 7.5%, an increase of 3.1 percentage points compared to the period from January to October; profits of the general equipment, specialized equipment, and electrical machinery industries continued to grow with growth rates of 4.8%, 4.6%, and 4.2% respectively.
