National Bureau of Statistics: Profit growth in high-tech manufacturing speeds up

Yu Weineng, Chief Statistician of the Industrial Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, interpreted the profit data of industrial enterprises from January to November 2025, with the profit growth of high-tech manufacturing accelerating. From January to November, the profit of high-tech manufacturing enterprises above designated size increased by 10.0% year-on-year, which was 2.0 percentage points faster than in January to October, and the growth rate was higher than the average level of all industrial enterprises above designated size by 9.9 percentage points. From the perspective of industries, the implementation of the "AI+" initiative drove the profitability of related equipment manufacturing industries. The profit of the industry of manufacturing specialized equipment for the electronics industry increased by 57.4% year-on-year, with the profit of industries manufacturing semiconductor device-specific equipment and electronic components and electromechanical component equipment increasing by 97.2% and 46.0% respectively. The rapid development of the aerospace industry propelled the industry's profit growth, with the profit of aerospace and aircraft equipment manufacturing industry increasing by 13.3% year-on-year, including a 192.9% and 36.3% growth in the profits of aerospace-related equipment manufacturing and aircraft-related equipment manufacturing industries, respectively. Intelligent products have facilitated the digital transformation, with the profit of the industry manufacturing intelligent consumer devices increasing by 54.0% year-on-year. The profits of industries manufacturing intelligent in-car devices, intelligent unmanned aircraft, and other intelligent consumer devices increased by 105.7%, 76.6%, and 58.1%, respectively.
