Alstom will provide 47 train sets and maintenance services for the new railway in Mexico.

On December 26, French company Alstom announced that it has signed a contract with the Mexican Railway Transport Regulatory Authority to supply 47 DMU passenger trains, including 33 long-distance trains and 14 short-distance trains. These trains are planned to be used on the Mexico City-Quertaro-Irapuato and Saltillo-Monterrey-New Laredo routes.
