According to the official account of China Biotech, on December 26th, the orally administered hexavalent rotavirus vaccine independently developed by the China National Pharmaceutical Group Wuhan Institute of Biological Products successfully completed the first dose vaccination. This marks the official entry into the practical application stage of the world's first vaccine covering six serotypes of rotavirus, and is also an important step taken by China in the prevention and control of rotavirus gastroenteritis in infants and young children.
