Three new subway lines in Beijing will start trial operations tomorrow.

Reporters learned from the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission and the Municipal Major Projects Office that starting from December 27, 2025, the first trains on three new urban rail transit lines, including the middle section of Line 17, Line 18, and the southern extension of Line 6, will be put into trial operation, with a total new operating mileage of approximately 30 kilometers. By then, the total operating mileage of Beijing's urban rail transit will reach 909 kilometers, marking a new milestone in the scale, service capacity, and comprehensive transportation capacity of the capital's rail transit network.
