National Development and Reform Commission: China's high-end CNC machine tools and high-end shipbuilding industries are still restricted in some key core areas. During the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, we need to accelerate the breakthrough of key core technology bottlenecks.
The Industry Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission released an article titled "Vigorously Promoting the Optimization and Upgrading of Traditional Industries." The article points out that the key to major equipment industries such as high-end CNC machine tools and high-end ships lies in focused breakthroughs and coordinated linkage. The industrial chain and supply chain must not fail at critical moments, which is an important characteristic that a large country's economy must possess. In some key core areas, China's high-end CNC machine tool and high-end shipbuilding industries are still constrained by others, highlighting the increasing importance and urgency of enhancing the resilience and security levels of the industrial chain and supply chain. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, efforts should be accelerated to overcome key technological bottlenecks, speed up industrial model and organizational form transformation, and achieve high-level technological self-reliance. Strengthen the restructuring of industrial foundations and tackle major technical equipment breakthroughs, accelerate the resolution of bottlenecks, and ensure that the industrial chain system is autonomous, controllable, safe, and reliable. Develop advanced manufacturing clusters, accelerate horizontal cooperation in specialization and vertical integration in upstream and downstream cooperation, promote industrial agglomeration and cluster development. Strengthen enterprises' position as the main bodies of technological innovation, leverage leading enterprises' guidance and support roles, promote cross-innovation among large, medium, and small enterprises, accelerate innovation in key products and demonstration applications, and deepen industry-university-research collaboration.
