According to a report from an unnamed financial industry source quoted by South Korea's "Daily Economic News", the Korea Exchange is planning to establish a working group to study the extension of trading hours to 12 hours. The Korea Exchange is considering extending trading hours by setting up pre-market and after-market trading periods, extending trading hours from 7 am to 7 pm, or from 8 am to 8 pm; a decision will be made in the first quarter. Note: The current normal trading hours of the Korea Exchange are from 09:00 to 15:30, with after-market hours from 15:40 to 18:00.
