Bank of China: Completed overseas recharge test of digital RMB in Singapore, available for trial from January 2026.

According to the China Bank public account, on December 24th, China Bank successfully completed the overseas recharge test of digital RMB in Singapore. Starting from January 2026, China Bank will invite local customers to participate in trial experiences. At that time, residents of Singapore can register for a digital RMB wallet using a local phone number, and recharge the digital wallet conveniently through the China Bank mobile banking. In scenarios such as traveling to China for tourism or business, they can use digital RMB to experience offline consumer payments.
