Central Bank: Support for provinces and cities along the new Western Land-Sea Channel to participate in the multilateral central bank digital currency bridge project.

The People's Bank of China held a press conference to interpret the "Opinions on Financial Support to Accelerate the Construction of the Western Land-Sea New Channel." At the meeting, Wang Xin, Director of the Research Bureau of the People's Bank of China, stated that the "Opinions" grasp the new trend of international cooperation in digital finance and green finance, and innovate to promote high-level financial openness in the central and western regions. For example, they support provinces, regions, and cities along the channel to participate in the multilateral central bank digital currency bridge project, promote cross-border payments using central bank digital currencies; and support cooperation in the establishment and application of green finance standards, green finance products, and financial support for green technology through the mechanism of the China-Singapore Green Finance Working Group.
