On December 25th, the ByteDance Corporate Discipline and Professional Ethics Committee released the 2025 Notification No. 4 for mainland China, disclosing the handling of internal violations during the third quarter of 2025. The notification shows that a total of 120 employees were dismissed for crossing the company's bottom line, with 28 employees being publicly named. Among the 28 employees named, 14 were transferred to judicial authorities for suspected criminal offenses, and the company simultaneously reported their information to industry alliances and revoked their options; 4 employees were also reported to industry alliances or had their options revoked due to serious violations.
