The "Maritime Silk Road" in the central Bohai Sea has been officially delineated.
According to Tianjin Daily, reporters learned from the Tianjin Maritime Bureau that in order to enhance the safety of navigation and efficiency of traffic in the Bohai Bay area, and to serve the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the national strategy of building a strong transportation country, according to the unified planning and deployment of the Maritime Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, the "Vessel Routing System in the Middle Waters of Bohai Bay" will be officially implemented from January 1, 2026, with a validity period of 5 years. This routing system is an important measure to systematically regulate the traffic flow of vessels in the middle waters of Bohai Bay, and is of great significance for promoting the expansion of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy towards maritime depth and establishing a world-class port cluster in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
