Spot gold and silver prices have experienced a sharp decline.

Spot gold fell by $20 to $4464.54 per ounce. Spot silver dropped below $71 per ounce, down 0.66% intraday. New York silver futures also fell below $71 per ounce, with a daily drop of 0.21%.
