On December 24th, the Shanghai Higher People's Court issued the "Several Opinions of the Shanghai Higher People's Court on Providing Judicial Service Guarantee for Accelerating the Construction of Shanghai International Financial Center". The "Several Opinions" point out that the Shanghai Higher People's Court will efficiently handle securities infringement disputes, strengthen the direction of "pursuing the main culprits and punishing the accomplices", accurately determine the primary responsibility of controlling shareholders and actual controllers of listed companies, refine the rules for determining faults and liability of listed companies, controlling shareholders, senior management, and intermediary organizations, smooth the path for investors to directly claim compensation from organizations and instigators of false statements, and legally determine the civil compensation liability of those who assist in fraud.
