Spokesperson Peng Qing'en stated that the Tsai Ing-wen authorities stubbornly adhere to the "Taiwan independence" separatist position, ignoring the mainstream public opinion in Taiwan that advocates peace, development, communication, and cooperation, deliberately inciting anti-China sentiments and attempts to seek "independence" with foreign support or through military means, continuously intensifying tensions in the Taiwan Strait, escalating cross-strait confrontation, disrupting cross-strait exchanges and cooperation, and exacerbating the creation of "green terror" and the "cicada effect."
