Guangdong has become the first province in the country to have four airports with annual passenger throughput exceeding ten million.

On December 24, 2025, Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport in Guangdong province surpassed the milestone of 10 million annual passenger throughput. This airport, which carries the hope for regional coordinated development, officially joins the "ten million passenger airport club". With this achievement, Guangdong becomes the first province in China to have four ten-million passenger airports, and also the province with the highest annual passenger throughput in the country.
