The 5-year survival rate of cancer patients aged 0-19 in our country has significantly improved.
Today, under the guidance of the National Health Commission, the first cohort study on the 5-year survival rate and accessibility of medical care for children and adolescents aged 0-19 with cancer in China was completed jointly by the National Children's Medical Center, National Children's Tumor Monitoring Center, and Beijing Children's Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University. Cohort studies, also known as follow-up studies, are an important research method in epidemiology. The data shows that the 5-year survival rate of children and adolescents aged 0-19 with cancer in China is 77.2%, a 5.3% increase from ten years ago, providing a solid basis for policy optimization and international experience exchange.
