The National Data Standardization Technical Committee signed a memorandum of cooperation with the International Data Space Association in Beijing.

On December 17, 2025, under the guidance of the National Bureau of Statistics, the meeting for the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the National Data Standardization Technical Committee and the International Data Space Association was held in Beijing. The meeting was hosted by the Secretariat of the National Data Standardization Technical Committee. The Deputy Director of the China Electronics Technology Standardization Research Institute, Fan Kefeng, and the Chief Executive Officer of the International Data Space Association, Lars Nagel, attended the meeting. At the meeting, Fan Kefeng represented the Secretariat of the National Data Standardization Technical Committee, while Lars Nagel represented the International Data Space Association. They conducted a ceremony for the signing of the cooperation memorandum and friendly negotiations on the details of future cooperation. Lars Nagel expressed great pleasure in establishing a cooperative relationship with the National Data Standardization Technical Committee, hoping that both sides would work together to build a standard ecosystem for data space, provide global solutions, and unlock the value of data. Fan Kefeng stated that data space means open, use, and share data, hoping that both sides would exchange more on data circulation, standard applications, and the implementation of data space, to achieve co-creation of data value. In the next step, the Secretariat of the National Data Standardization Technical Committee will continue to promote cooperation and exchanges with the International Data Space Association, conduct cooperative research on data space standards and other related areas, and actively promote international cooperation in the field of data standards.
