Since the beginning of this year, the trading activity in the A-share market has significantly increased. As of December 23, the total cumulative turnover for the year reached 40.782 trillion yuan, an increase of nearly 58.4% from the previous year, setting a new annual historical high. In terms of trading pace, market activity remained high throughout the year, with over 98% of trading days maintaining turnover above 1 trillion yuan, and days with turnover exceeding 2 trillion yuan accounting for nearly 23.6%. In terms of industry sectors, there is a pattern of "the strong getting stronger, and the emerging growing rapidly." The electronic sector continued to attract funds with a syphon effect, maintaining its number one ranking in total turnover. In terms of growth momentum, the non-ferrous metals and communication sectors emerged as the bright spots in the market this year, both achieving double-digit growth in turnover compared to last year, leading the market in terms of growth rate. At the individual stock level, there is a clear trend of fund concentration towards popular targets, with 19 stocks surpassing a turnover of 1 trillion yuan for the year. Zhongjixuchuang, East Money Information, and Xinyisheng ranked in the top three on the annual turnover list. Of these, Zhongjixuchuang stood out as the only stock with an average daily turnover exceeding 10 billion yuan in the market. Meanwhile, the ETF market also performed impressively, with the total turnover for the year reaching a historical high of 8.17 trillion yuan, an increase of nearly 116.8% from the previous year, setting a new annual record. In specific sectors, stock ETFs became one of the core vehicles for fund deployments, with a turnover of 2.44 trillion yuan for the year, an increase of nearly 52.8% from the previous year, also setting a new annual record.
