Over 250,000 old trucks in our country have been eliminated, and 12,000 ships have been updated.
Today, the State Council Information Office held a press conference. Jin Jingdong, deputy director of the Comprehensive Planning Department of the Ministry of Transport, introduced that since the start of the new round of large-scale equipment updates and the policy of trading in old products for new ones, the transportation industry has resolutely implemented the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, continuously implementing the seven major actions for equipment updates, accelerating the new round of equipment updates and replacements in the transportation sector, and significantly improving the green, intelligent, and safety levels of transportation equipment. As of the end of November this year: in terms of railways, more than 450 old-type railway internal combustion locomotives have been replaced with new ones. In terms of roads and urban transportation, over 250,000 national III and national IV standard diesel trucks have been phased out; more than 27,000 new energy cold chain transport vehicles have been purchased. In terms of waterways, support has been provided for the scrapping and renewal of power vessels and old vessels, totaling about 12,000 ships. In civil aviation, support has been provided for the renewal of gasoline and diesel airport operation vehicles. In the postal and express delivery sector, more than 80,000 end delivery vehicles and old sorting equipment have been updated.
