Hubei 10 key power grid projects for peak winter operation.

As winter approaches, the electricity load in Hubei Power Grid is climbing steadily. On December 22, it was reported by State Grid Hubei Electric Power that up to now, 10 key grid projects for peak load and winter in Hubei have been put into operation, laying a solid foundation for residents to stay warm this winter and ensuring reliable power supply. This summer, aiming at weak points in local power grids, State Grid Hubei Electric Power planned key projects for peak load and winter, including the construction of the Chibi-Jiangxia 500 kV line project, the expansion of the Huanggang Guangji 500 kV main transformer project, and the Jingzhou Songzi Port 220 kV substation project, among other core projects, with a total of 330.74 kilometers of new lines and 2.66 million kilovolt-ampere of new substation capacity. The person in charge of the Hubei Power Grid Construction Department stated that the key projects put into operation include new construction, expansion of substations, and optimization of lines in various categories, significantly enhancing the power supply guarantee efficiency for peak load and winter in key areas such as Wuhan, Xianning, Huangshi, and Jingzhou. This not only strengthens the solid defense line for winter power supply and warmth, but also accurately meets the growing demand for electricity, injecting continuous and stable power momentum for the upgrading of industries and the high-quality economic development in Hubei.
