Sichuan releases the first provincial-level implementation rules for green electricity trading consumption accounting in China.

Recently, the Sichuan Energy Bureau, together with the Sichuan Electricity Trading Center, conducted research and released the "Implementation Rules for Green Electricity Trading Consumption Accounting in Sichuan". As the first province-level guide for green electricity trading consumption accounting in the country, the "Rules" systematically clarify the participants and organizational processes of green electricity trading, innovatively specify the specific principles for the conversion of conventional hydropower green certificates, and the application methods in the tracing of electricity trading and accounting for green electricity consumption by users. Building on the national emphasis on the application of green electricity certificates for new energy sources such as wind and solar power, it actively promotes the value of Sichuan's hydropower green certificates and improves the full chain of processes for certifying green electricity consumption by users within the province. It provides an authoritative list of green electricity consumption to support the enhancement of the green and low-carbon competitive advantage of "Made in Sichuan" products nationwide and globally.
