The incident of Kuaishou platform being attacked by black industry has attracted attention from the public. On the evening of December 22, some netizens reported that there was a large amount of pornographic content in Kuaishou's live streaming rooms, followed by the ban of many live streaming rooms. After 0:00 on the 23rd, some netizens found that there was no content in the "live streaming" section of the Kuaishou app. In response, Kuaishou stated that around 22:00 that night, the platform was attacked by black and grey industry, and is currently undergoing emergency repairs. The platform firmly resists against illegal content, and the situation has been reported to the relevant departments, with a police report filed. On December 23, a reporter from The Paper learned from Qihoo 360 that the well-known domestic short video platform Kuaishou was under a fierce attack by black and grey industry. In just 60 to 90 minutes, hacker organizations invaded the Kuaishou system through technical means, causing the entire platform's security system to be paralyzed. Qihoo 360 security expert Wang Liejun told The Paper that the main reason why this attack caused massive destruction is that black and grey industries have fully entered the "automatic attack" era, while the platform still relies on traditional manual defense methods. Hackers use automated tools to register in bulk, manipulate zombie accounts, and achieve the instant publication and spread of illegal content, a scale of attack that far exceeds the limits of manual review.
