After the price of gold broke through $4400 per ounce for the first time, the stocks of gold mining companies listed in the US rose. Kinross Gold went up by 3.3%, Gold Fields by 3.5%, Agnico Eagle by 2.5%, and Barrick Mining by 1.9%. The S&P Gold Trust Exchange Traded Fund rose by 1.9%.
