Gong Zheng meets with Mayor Tomislav Tomaevi of Zagreb, Croatia

Today, Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng met with the Mayor of Zagreb, Croatia, Tomislav Tomaevi, and jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on friendly city cooperation between the two cities for the years 2026-2029. Gong Zheng said, "We are pleased to see enterprises from both cities expand their cooperation scale, explore cooperation opportunities, invest and do business in each other's cities. We warmly welcome more Croatian and Zagreb enterprises to participate in the Import Expo, and Shanghai opens its doors wide for cooperation. We also look forward to promoting exchanges in basic research, talent development, and strengthening experiences in urban planning, old city renovation, and urban management. At the same time, we hope to deepen the exchange and cooperation between the two cities in the fields of youth, culture, arts, promote more people to travel and deepen mutual understanding, and enhance people-to-people friendship."
