The world's first methanol dual-fuel smart large oil tanker "Kaituo", designed and built independently by our country, was successfully delivered in Dalian, Liaoning. The ship can use green methanol as a power source. Green methanol can "turn waste into treasure", with raw materials coming from renewable energy or biomass waste, significantly reducing carbon emissions throughout its lifecycle, and possessing true green attributes. With its advantages of high adaptability to existing shipping systems and environmental protection and emission reduction, green methanol has become a "new star" in decarbonization of shipping, helping the shipping industry upgrade towards green.
