Danni Hewson of AJ Bell stated in a report that the latest revised data on UK economic growth indicates that the country's economy is struggling. She said that the Bank of England predicts economic growth will stagnate in the final months of 2025 and will be hindered by budgetary uncertainty, with significant challenges still needing to be overcome. The economic growth rate for the second quarter was revised down from 0.3% to 0.2%, while the growth rate for the third quarter remained unchanged at 0.1%. Hewson noted that the UK is not the only country facing difficulties: despite the downward revision of second quarter data, the country's economic performance in the first half of this year still ranks joint first among G7 countries. She also mentioned that with interest rates falling, leading to a decrease in household savings rates, there are signs that families may be loosening their purse strings.
