According to the latest research, due to the increasing demand for satellite deployment by SpaceX, the space exploration technology companies have shifted from partially recovering rocket technology to the comprehensive development of full recovery. In addition, traditional large rocket manufacturers such as Arianespace, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation have significantly increased their willingness to invest in first-stage rocket recovery technology verification. Currently, the average launch cost of disposable rockets is approximately $110 million to $180 million, while the launch cost of partially recovered rockets is approximately $67 million. With major global manufacturers actively developing reusable technology, the goal is to reduce launch costs to $2 million to $5 million under the condition of achieving full recovery.
