Safety upgrades continue, multiple national standards in the automotive field will be implemented.
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly solicited 7 mandatory national standards such as "Technical Requirements for Automotive Door Handles". This means that a group of critical national standards in the automotive field will soon be implemented, laying a solid safety baseline for the industry's high-quality development. At the moment when these national standards are about to be implemented, the China Automotive Technology Research Center has conducted a series of technical verifications with key industry enterprises under the theme of "National Standard Common Recognition". Among them, testing in the field of intelligent connected new energy vehicles is a key focus.
Taking the new standard for car door handles as an example, it requires that each door should be equipped with a mechanical door handle on the outside. In the event of a collision accident or a power battery fire, the door should be able to be opened using the outside handle without the need for tools. Furthermore, the "Safety Requirements for Intelligent Connected Vehicle Combination Driving Assistance Systems" is scheduled to be implemented from January 1, 2027. It has been noted that multiple technical tests have been intensively carried out. This new energy vehicle is driving at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour, encountering construction ahead, and the vehicle is able to autonomously steer and change lanes. When encountering oncoming vehicles suddenly, it can smoothly decelerate and come to a stop. Technical experts say that the intelligent new technologies adopted by the vehicle can effectively ensure driving safety.
Not only must the national standards be met, but many technical tests also have to exceed the national standards. This vehicle is driving at a high speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and the tire burst device actively bursts the front wheel on one side, simulating a high-speed tire burst scenario. The journalist observed that after the left front tire burst, the vehicle only experienced a slight shake, without a violent deviation. The vehicle quickly regained stability, with a yaw angle of less than 1 degree, which is below the national standard limit.
