The Chinese national table tennis team has added a deputy head coach.

On December 20, the Chinese Table Tennis Association announced on its official website the notice of holding the national table tennis team coach selection for the Los Angeles Olympic cycle. The selection officially started the recruitment of coaches for the new cycle national team. The selection process will take place from December 29 to 31, 2025 at the National Training Bureau Table Tennis Hall. In terms of position setting, it is closely planned around the practical needs of the Los Angeles Olympics and the long-term development of the team. In addition to the head coach position, a deputy head coach position has been added, and clearer and higher requirements have been set for the responsibilities and abilities of each coaching position, emphasizing advanced training concepts, excellent on-the-spot command abilities, technological innovation awareness, and the comprehensive qualities of cultivating young reserve talent.
