By then, the fastest route from Guangzhou East to Shantou will take only 1 hour and 50 minutes, and the fastest route from Shenzhen North to Shantou will take only 1 hour and 39 minutes. This will further shorten the time and space distance between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong East Economic Zone, providing strong support for the high-quality development of the regional economy and society.
