On December 20th, the world's first commercial supercritical carbon dioxide power generator was successfully put into operation at the Shougang Water Steel Group in Liupanshui, Guizhou. This is also the global demonstration project of the supercritical carbon dioxide waste heat power generation technology "Super Carbon One". According to China National Nuclear Corporation, "Super Carbon One" demonstration project is the world's first 15-megawatt supercritical carbon dioxide sintering waste heat power generation project. The current sintering waste heat steam power generation technology is similar to "boiling water", using heat to turn water into steam to drive the turbine for power generation. "Super Carbon One" no longer "boils water", but instead uses supercritical carbon dioxide as the circulating working fluid, increasing power generation efficiency by over 85% and net power generation by over 50%.
