Federal Reserve's Williams said on Friday that some "technical factors" may have distorted the Consumer Price Index data for November, causing it to be lower than the actual level. Williams said, "There are some specific real factors related to them not being able to collect data in October and the first half of November. Because of this, I believe that data in certain categories has been distorted, which may have lowered the CPI data by about 0.1 percentage points." Williams also said that the US economy is currently in a "good state" and hinted that he "will eventually see" a rate cut. However, he emphasized that he is not in a hurry to adjust monetary policy.
