Journalists learned from the national railway group that the Baotou to Yinchuan high-speed rail section from Baotou to Huinong will be completed and opened on December 23rd, achieving full line operation of the Baotou to Yinchuan high-speed rail. The Baotou to Yinchuan high-speed rail starts from Baotou Station, passing through Baotou City, Bayannur City, Ordos City, Wuhai City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shizuishan City, Yinchuan City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and connecting to Yinchuan Station. The main line is 519 kilometers long with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It was implemented in sections. The section from Huinong to Yinchuan, with a total length of 97 kilometers, has been in operation since October 2024. The section from Baotou to Huinong, which will be opened this time, is 422 kilometers long and has a total of 10 stations.
