The head of the National Energy Administration held a meeting with the Senior Vice President of Exxon Mobil globally.

On December 18, 2025, Wan Jinsong, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration of China, met with Wei Jiekai, Senior Vice President of ExxonMobil, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on the role of natural gas in the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, CCUS (carbon capture, utilization and storage), low-carbon hydrogen, product carbon measurement and other issues. Wan Jinsong stated that ExxonMobil, as a globally renowned large multinational energy company, is an old friend of Chinese oil and gas enterprises, and the two sides have achieved mutually beneficial results in years of close cooperation. China welcomes companies from all countries, including ExxonMobil, to share the new opportunities in China's energy development and create new cooperation achievements together. Wei Jiekai introduced ExxonMobil's business progress globally and in China, expressing willingness to increase investment in China and deepen practical cooperation in various fields. Officials from the Planning Department, Oil and Gas Department, and International Department of the National Energy Administration of China attended the meeting.
