The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that BMW of North America, LLC is recalling 36,922 vehicles in the US market. The reason for the recall is that the steering wheel may unexpectedly turn while the vehicle is stationary, increasing the risk of injury to occupants, and also increasing the risk of collision while driving.
