In November, the total retail sales of consumer goods in society reached 4.39 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.3% year-on-year. From January to November, the total retail sales of consumer goods in society reached 45.6 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.0%, with the cumulative growth rate faster than the same period last year by 0.5 percentage points. Firstly, commodity consumption remained stable. In November, retail sales of goods increased by 1.0%. Sales of basic necessities remained stable, with retail sales of grains, oils, food, and clothing increasing by 6.1% and 3.5% respectively. Sales of some upgraded goods grew rapidly, with retail sales of gold, silver, jewelry, and cosmetics increasing by 8.5% and 6.1% respectively. Categories related to trade-ins and upgrades also saw rapid growth, with retail sales of communication equipment and cultural supplies increasing by 20.6% and 11.7% respectively. Secondly, service consumption grew rapidly. From January to November, service retail sales increased by 5.4%, accelerating by 0.1 percentage points compared to January-October, and 1.3 percentage points faster than retail sales of goods during the same period. In particular, retail sales of cultural and leisure services and communication services maintained double-digit growth. In November, restaurant revenue increased by 3.2%, maintaining stable growth. Thirdly, there is strong demand for new types of consumption. From January to November, online retail sales increased by 9.1%, with physical goods online retail sales increasing by 5.7%. According to the Ministry of Commerce's big data, in November, sales of sports cameras, intelligent robots, and top-level energy-efficient televisions on key monitoring platforms all increased by over 20%. According to data from the Automotive Distribution Association, the penetration rate of new energy passenger vehicles reached 59.3% in November. Fourthly, rural consumption is growing faster than urban consumption. The county-level commercial system continues to improve, and the potential consumption in the sinking market is accelerating. From January to November, rural retail sales of consumer goods increased by 4.4%, outpacing urban areas by 0.5 percentage points; in November, rural retail sales of consumer goods increased by 2.8%, outpacing urban areas by 1.8 percentage points.
