Hunan: Construction of the "Zhangjiajie" International Tourism Zone

The General Office of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the General Office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government have issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the In-depth Integration of Culture and Tourism Development", which proposes the construction of the "Zhangjiajie" International Tourism Zone. It is aimed at building the "Zhangjiajie" International Tourism Zone into an inbound tourism leading area, a gathering area of characteristic industries, a regional economic cooperation area, and a model area for tourism services. It will establish a city coordination mechanism for the "Zhangjiajie" International Tourism Zone, strengthening cooperation in policy formulation, project construction, information sharing, brand building, and market governance. It will improve the system of international tourism service standards, enhance the level of services such as customs clearance, payment, consumption, transportation, and accommodation. It will establish a mechanism for resolving foreign-related disputes, promptly handling cross-regional travel complaints and cases. It will expand international tourism routes, support the opening of more routes linked to domestic hub cities, and build a Zhangjiajie International Hub Airport in the Wuling Mountain area.
