The Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China has issued proposals for the formulation of the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, which includes the construction of a modern infrastructure system. This includes improving the comprehensive modern transportation system, strengthening cross-regional coordination, integrating different modes of transportation, and deepening cross-sector integration to accelerate the construction of a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network and enhance the overall level of comprehensive transportation development. It also includes promoting the high-quality development of railways by connecting the Beijing-Hong Kong and Yangtze River high-speed rail corridors, enhancing connectivity in the Yangtze River Delta rail transportation network, strengthening the construction of railway trunk lines and main lines, improving the layout of railway networks in northern and western Anhui, and forming a nationwide high-speed rail travel circle and railway logistics circle. Furthermore, it involves implementing highway expansion and connectivity projects focused on expanding the capacity of the Yangtze River corridor, ensuring smooth traffic flow on the along the Huai River expressways, and completing the loop line around the Hefei metropolitan area, promoting the rapid transformation of commuting sections of ordinary national and provincial highways within urban circles, upgrading cross-regional sections to high standards, and improving lower-grade road sections. Additionally, it includes improving the "one hub, multiple spokes" airport transportation system by accelerating the construction and expansion of the Hefei Xinqiao Airport and Wuxuan Airport, timely constructing airports in Suzhou and Jinzhai, orderly advancing the preliminary work of relocating and expanding Huangshan Airport, and promoting the development of intercontinental and all-cargo airline routes, as well as vigorously developing general aviation. The plan also involves implementing projects to expand and upgrade the Jianghuai mainline waterway, elevate the water transport level in the Huai River Basin, and improve the navigation channels connecting ports and cities, aiming to accelerate the development of water transportation in Anhui. Additionally, it includes forward-looking planning for new types of infrastructure, accelerating the construction of information and communication networks, low-altitude intelligent network-connected systems, and unmanned driving infrastructure, deepening the deployment and application of IPv6, advancing the modernization and digitization of traditional infrastructure, and promoting the construction of dual-use public infrastructure in urban areas.
