Data released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics on Thursday showed that consumer prices in the United States rose less than expected in November, but this slowdown may have been due to technical factors, and Americans still face challenges in terms of living costs, partially attributed to import tariffs. The Labor Statistics Bureau stated that the Consumer Price Index rose 2.7% year on year in November. Economists had predicted a 3.1% increase in the CPI. The lower-than-expected increase in the CPI may have been due to data collection delays until the end of the month, when retailers were offering holiday season discounts. Economists expect the CPI to accelerate in December.
