Today, tickets for January 1st can be purchased, and tickets for the last day of the holiday will be on sale starting December 20th. The railway transport period for this New Year's Day holiday will be from December 31st to January 4th, totaling 5 days. The Guangzhou Railway Bureau expects to transport 11.1 million passengers during this holiday, with an average of 2.22 million passengers per day, an increase of 4.2% compared to the same period last year. The peak passenger flow is expected to occur on January 1st, with an estimated 2.6 million passengers to be transported that day. The main types of passengers during this holiday will be tourists and those visiting family, with students, business travelers, and migrant workers as secondary. Based on the current ticket presales, tickets are mainly concentrated between major cities or tourist cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen, and Chengdu, showing a characteristic of concentrated travel in both directions and a prominent flow of high-speed rail and intercity passengers.
