However, Horizon Investments analyst Dmitry Shlyapnikov said, "SpaceX's IPO could bring some selling pressure to Tesla's stock. Some investors hold Tesla because they want to invest in Musk's ideas, not because it is a car company." Another view is that SpaceX going public could attract more attention to Musk, thereby bringing another wave of growth momentum to Tesla. "Historically, when one of Musk's companies reaches a major milestone, it often boosts market sentiment for other companies," said 50 Park Investments CEO Adam Sahn.
