Hong Kong releases its first Traditional Chinese Medicine development blueprint.
The Hong Kong SAR government today released the "Development Blueprint for Traditional Chinese Medicine", proposing a vision that covers 5 areas, 8 goals, and 20 actions to promote the all-around, high quality, and high-level development of traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong. The Director of the Health Bureau of the SAR government, Dr. Constance Chan, stated that traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of Chinese civilization and an important part of the healthcare system in Hong Kong. Many residents trust and use traditional Chinese medicine. The SAR government has formulated numerous policies and measures over the years, including training traditional Chinese medicine talent, medical services, regulation, standards, etc. The first blueprint for the development of traditional Chinese medicine is announced today, with the goal of using traditional Chinese medicine to enable citizens to enjoy higher quality and comprehensive medical services, improve health levels, and enjoy better services. The blueprint also aims to build Hong Kong into a gateway for traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese herbal medicine to reach the world.
