Sichuan car production has returned to the million-unit level.

According to the Economic and Information Technology Department of Sichuan Province, in the first 11 months of this year, the value added of the automobile manufacturing industry in Sichuan increased by 18.2% year on year, with automobile production reaching 1.024 million vehicles, returning to the million-level mark. In the first 11 months, Sichuan's automobile production increased by 33.9% year on year, 22 percentage points higher than the national average. "Seizing the development opportunities of intelligent connected new energy vehicles, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry, and achieving high-speed growth in the automobile industry." Speaking of the driving force of growth, the person in charge of the Automobile and Rail Transportation Equipment Division of the Provincial Economic and Information Technology Department introduced that this year, while Sichuan's gasoline-powered vehicles have strong support, new energy vehicles have also seen an increase in production. In the first 11 months, Sichuan's new energy vehicle production reached 262,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 142.6%, and the annual production is expected to exceed 280,000 vehicles, with the production ratio increasing by 10 percentage points compared to 2024.
