"Naming Ceremony for 'Qi Fayin Xing' Held"

Today, the naming ceremony of the "Qi Fayin Star" was held. The small asteroid, officially designated as 336877 by the International Astronomical Union and discovered by the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was officially named "Qi Fayin Star". Qi Fayin is a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the chief designer of the Shenzhou spacecraft, a member of the International Academy of Astronautics, and currently serves as a technical advisor at the China Academy of Space Technology.
