Hainan's free trade port officially launched the island-wide quarantine.

Starting on December 18, 2025, Hainan Free Trade Port officially began island-wide customs closure. So far, a series of customs closure policies and supporting documents, including import tariff catalog, commodity circulation tax policies, prohibited and restricted list, processing and value-added tax exemption and customs-free policy for domestic sales, customs supervision measures, have been implemented simultaneously. Customs closure marks the beginning of a new stage in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. After the customs closure, Hainan will continue to expand its openness, continuously improve its policy and institutional system, and strive to build an important gateway leading China's new era of opening-up.
