Boeing gets $931 million contract from US Navy to extend the service life of F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet fighter jets.

Boeing Company has been awarded a contract worth $9.308 billion by the U.S. Navy. The contract is aimed at providing service life extension services for up to 60 F/A-18 E/F "Super Hornet" fighter jets. This contract is part of an effort to extend the service life of the "Super Hornet" fighter jets from 6,000 flight hours to 10,000 flight hours. Boeing will also provide integration services for the Navy's Block III avionics system. This work will be carried out in San Antonio, San Diego, and St. Louis, with completion expected by November 2028. The funds for this project will be disbursed when specific orders are placed.
