Trump signs proclamation to further restrict entry of foreign citizens into the United States.
On December 16th local time, the White House announced that US President Trump has signed a proclamation further restricting the entry of foreign nationals. The White House stated that the US will enforce comprehensive restrictions and entry limitations on individuals from Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, and Syria, as well as those holding travel documents issued by the Palestinian National Authority; impose comprehensive restrictions and entry limitations on two countries with previously implemented partial restrictions Laos and Sierra Leone; and impose partial restrictions and entry limitations on the following 15 countries: Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Cte d'Ivoire, Dominica, Gabon, Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Tonga, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. In addition, the US has lifted the ban on non-immigrant visas, but continues to suspend the entry of Turkmenistan citizens as immigrants.
