On December 16, 2025, Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a telephone conversation with the Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdul Atti. Wang Yi stated that China and Egypt are comprehensive strategic partners. President Xi Jinping and President Sisi have established a strong friendship, providing strategic guidance for the development of bilateral relations. Both sides should take the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt next year as an opportunity to firmly support each other, deepen practical cooperation, strengthen multilateral coordination, and elevate the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level, contributing to the modernization of the global South and making new contributions to world peace and development. Next year, China will host the second China-Arab States Summit, and Egypt is an important member of the Arab world. China is willing to strengthen communication with Egypt to ensure the success of the Summit. Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdul Atti stated that the foundation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Egypt and China is deep. Egypt firmly opposes foreign interference in China's internal affairs, firmly abides by the One China principle, and always considers Taiwan as an indivisible part of China's territory. Next year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and China, and Egypt looks forward to close high-level exchanges with China, deepen practical cooperation, and promote greater development in the bilateral relationship. Egypt warmly congratulates the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee for passing the proposal for the "15th Five-Year Plan" and sincerely wishes China continued success in its development. Egypt supports President Xi Jinping's four major global initiatives and the successful hosting of the second China-Arab States Summit by China.
