Ministry of Commerce: Minister Wang Wentao Meets with Chairman of Procter & Gamble, Shan Mu Ren.

On December 16, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Chairman, President and CEO of Procter & Gamble (P&G) Jon Moeller in Beijing. Both sides exchanged views on the development of P&G in China, as well as the business environment in China. Wang Wentao stated that in recent years, the Chinese government has continuously optimized the business environment, strengthened intellectual property protection, and fully implemented national treatment for foreign enterprises, creating a favorable environment for the development of foreign enterprises in China. Economic and trade relations are the cornerstone and propeller of the China-US relationship. Stable China-US economic and trade relations are in line with the common interests of both sides, and provide more certainty for the global development of multinational companies. China welcomes multinational companies, including P&G, to continue investing in China and achieve better development in deepening innovation cooperation with China. Jon Moeller stated that P&G has always been optimistic about the development potential of the Chinese economy, highly appreciates the continuous improvement of the business environment in China, will continue to increase investment in China, promote local research and development innovation, introduce more products welcomed by Chinese consumers, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
